About Us
Thrift & Threads is the fundraising branch of Cornerstone Support Services, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in New Kent County that supports adults with developmental disabilities.
Small Change, Big Impact
Funds raised through the operation of the Thrift Store directly benefit the services of Cornerstone. When customers choose to round up their purchase, 100% of that change goes into a restricted fund that provides needed items for people in our program who cannot afford what they need. This includes items such as clothing, supplemental funding for glasses, dentures, supplemental funding to attend ticketed events, or maybe a vacation.
Customers can feel good when they donate their change knowing they are helping a person who has a developmental disability be able to have experiences most of us take for granted.
Please remember, a few cents from people rounding up their purchases add up to make a big difference for people. It is a good thing to do.
Giving Back
Thrift & Threads is committed to supporting members of our community in times of need.
We collaborate closely with organizations such as Social Services, the Red Cross, and local churches to meet the needs of individuals they refer to us.
When we have the items someone needs, we’re honored to assist them in selecting what’s right for them—and we’re happy to offer free delivery at no cost. After all, these generous donations were given to support our mission, and it’s only right that we extend that kindness to others in their time of need.

We began using the Thrift Store sales as a revenue generator for our company’s “Support Services” portion. In the beginning, this was a perfect marriage of form following function. Lately, we have separated these divisions a little better and can now focus on making our thrift store an exciting experience for you the frugal shopper.
